Edith & Jason's wedding was held in January at the beautiful Grand Island Mansion just outside Sacramento in Walnut Grove. Because of the main room's unique architecture, we created two different types of centerpieces - taller ones in the center of the room beneath the high ceiling, and shorter ones for the outer tables. The arrangements consisted of chrysanthemums (football mums), sweet peas, stocks, larkspur, snapdragons, leptospermum, and large pink & white varigated imported roses surrounded by green hypericum berries and dusty miller with amaranthus draping down. The combination of large varigated roses, silver dusty miller leaves, and crinkled pink paper within the vases helped to give the arrangements the vintage look the bride was after. The bridal bouquet was imported pink roses and peonies wrapped with vintage-looking dusty miller foliage, while the bridesmaids' added sweet peas.
